Kogi State Government Pledges Safe Return of Abducted University Students

The government of Kogi State is resolute in its commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted students from Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC), Osara, Okene. Following the harrowing incident on Thursday night where bandits stormed the institution, the state government remains steadfast in its assurance that all students will be rescued unharmed.

Eyewitnesses reported the brazen attack, highlighting the vulnerability of the students who were diligently preparing for their exams at the time.

In response, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, affirmed the government’s proactive stance, stating that they are actively addressing the situation.

The government has mobilized security forces, including local hunters who possess invaluable knowledge of the terrain, to track down the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the abducted students. Despite the challenges, Governor Ahmed Ododo has ensured that every effort is being made to locate and apprehend the kidnappers.
