The Executive Governor of Kogi State took a bold step forward to recalibrate the security architecture of the State by integrating more local security platforms to work with the conventional agencies to keep Kogi safe.
Launching the outfits in Lokoja, the Governor made it clear that his administration will work hard to make the security of the State better than the heights reached by the last administration. He thanked security agencies for the cooperation so far.

The launch of the local security outfit, the Metropolitan Quick Response was aimed at localizing the security architecture in the State in such a way that security operatives that understand their terrains are saddled with the responsibility of keeping criminals at bay.

The State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd) also launched security help lines to help people who might want to give intelligence to security agencies.

Over the years, Kogi has placed security on the front burners owing to the nodal location of the State. The investment in security has paid off heavily as the State remains one of the safest in Nigeria today.

Since assuming office, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has silenced doubters with his solid moves to secure lives and property in the State. A lot of breakthroughs have been recorded in the last one month, including the immediate apprehension of the criminals terrorizing students at Felele in Lokoja. They have been prosecuted promptly.

Let me assure Kogites that there is no cause for alarm as the Governor they elected has undoubted capacity to protect them.

We also call on Kogites to support security agencies by volunteering information that would lead to the prevention of crime. Our information platforms in the State are always at the disposal of the citizens.

The Ministry of Information and Communications will soon launch an Orientation Program across the state to campaign against criminality and also equip the citizens on their responsibilities to the security architecture of the State.
