With the dismissal of all of his aides who are supporters of the Minister of FCT, the dispute between Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, has taken a new turn.
President Bola Tinubu named Wike the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Fubara fired the former governor’s aides, the head of staff and the top security officer of the government residence.
Recall that last night, amid rumours of lawmakers backing the former governor attempting to impeach him, the Rivers state House of Assembly complex was set on fire.
