COVID-19 cases hit 47,743 in Nigeria as NCDC announces 453 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announces a total 47,743 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.

This is following the confirmation of 453 fresh cases of infections by NCDC.

The agency on its verified Twitter handle says Lagos as the epicentre of the disease maintains it’s top position with 113 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, followed with 72 cases.

Other states with new cases are; Lagos- 113, Plateau- 59, Enugu- 55, Kaduna- 38, Ondo- 32, Osun- 26, Ebonyi- 20, Ogun- 9, Delta- 8, Borno- 7, Akwa Ibom- 6, Oyo- 5, while Bauchi, Kano and Ekiti recorded one case each.

Nigeria now has 47,743 confirmed cases, 33,943 patients discharged and 956 deaths recorded.
