Nigerian politician and businessman, Senator Ned Nwoko, has refuted viral reports alleging that he has taken another wife amid speculations surrounding his marriage to Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.
The rumour, which circulated across social media platforms alongside a video showing the senator with a young woman, sparked widespread conversation online.
In a statement released via his official Instagram account, Senator Nwoko described the reports as “false and misleading,” clarifying that the woman seen in the video had merely paid him a courtesy visit alongside her team under the Peace Ambassadors Initiative, led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule.
“A video showing a young woman who visited me with her team under Peace Ambassadors Initiative, led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule, is circulating online with false claims attempting to affiliate me with her,” the statement read.
The lawmaker and husband of popular actress Regina Daniels further cautioned that the viral clip was being deliberately twisted for social media attention, warning that legal action would be taken against individuals or blogs spreading unverified information.
“Any further propagation will attract appropriate legal action,” he added.
Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, emphasized the need for responsible journalism and urged the public to disregard the fabricated reports.
