Manchester United have recalled two of their young players, Joe Hugill and Habeeb Ogunneye, from their respective loan spells.
The club confirmed the development in an official statement published on its website on Wednesday.
Hugill, 22, returned to Old Trafford after a loan spell with League Two side Barnet, which began in July. The move marked the fifth loan spell of his Manchester United career since joining the club from Sunderland in 2020.
The centre-forward featured for the Bees in both League Two and the Carabao Cup, with his last appearance coming in Barnet’s New Year’s Day victory over Crawley Town.
Meanwhile, full-back Habeeb Ogunneye has also been recalled following his loan stint at Newport County. Ogunneye made a notable impact during his time with the Welsh side, scoring his first senior career goal in a match against Milton Keynes Dons.
Both players are now set to link up again with Manchester United as the club assesses their next steps for the remainder of the season.
