Liam Rosenior has verbally agreed to become the next manager of Premier League giants Chelsea, describing the chance to take charge of the London club as “an opportunity I cannot turn down.”
The current head coach of Ligue 1 side Strasbourg made the announcement during a press conference on Tuesday, confirming that discussions with Chelsea have progressed and that all terms have been agreed, even though a formal contract has not yet been signed.
“It looks like I am going to be the next manager of that football club,” Rosenior said, underlining his excitement at the prospect of leading one of England’s most storied teams.
The 41‑year‑old English coach has guided Strasbourg with notable success and will succeed Enzo Maresca, who recently departed Stamford Bridge. Rosenior’s move is expected to be finalized officially in the coming days.
