ABUJA — Nollywood veteran-turned-politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has expressed strong confidence that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will emerge victorious in Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on Sunrise Daily on Channels Television on Monday, Okonkwo asserted that while the party aims to form the next government, it would also unseat President Bola Tinubu.
“In 2027, we stand a chance in every election in Nigeria. The true test of ADC will be in 2027. We are going to form the next government in Nigeria and send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” Okonkwo declared.
On the party’s presence nationwide, the ADC chieftain said the party is active across all 36 states of the federation. He highlighted Rivers State as a key stronghold, with former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi serving as a prominent leader of the party in the state.
“The ADC exists in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Rotimi Amaechi naturally is one of the prominent leaders of ADC in Rivers State and in the South-South. So, it will not be out of place if you say he is the leader of the ADC in Rivers State,” Okonkwo added.
The actor-turned-lawyer’s remarks signal the ADC’s growing ambitions as Nigeria inches closer to the 2027 elections.
