Abuja, Nigeria – Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has joined a growing protest calling for the real-time transmission of election results.
On Monday, Nigerian youths converged at the National Assembly for the “Occupy National Assembly” demonstration, voicing opposition to the Senate’s rejection of electronic result transmission.
Yesterday, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also added his support to the protest, signaling broad political backing for the movement.
The demonstration reflects increasing public demand for transparency and credibility in Nigeria’s electoral process.
