The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has said that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, is qualified to contest the Lagos governorship seat in 2027.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Jandor noted that while Seyi and other potential contenders like former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Senator Tokunbo Abiru are eligible, none of them—except Ambode—has ever been on the ballot as a governorship candidate.
He said his own experience sets him apart.
“All the names you mentioned are qualified to be governor of Lagos, including Seyi himself. But aside from Ambode, none of them have actually been on the ballot as governorship candidates except me,” Jandor said.
“I come with the experience of someone who has single-handedly gone through that process without any backing.”
