Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has issued a stern warning to the United States following reports of increased American troop deployments to the Middle East.
In a statement posted on X on Wednesday, Ghalibaf said Tehran is closely tracking U.S. military activity across the region. He cautioned Washington against escalating tensions, asserting that any provocation would be met with firm resistance.
“We are closely monitoring all U.S. movements in the region, especially troop deployments,” he said. “What the generals have broken, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to Benjamin Netanyahu’s delusions.”
Ghalibaf’s remarks underscore growing tensions between Iran and the United States, particularly amid concerns over regional security and the potential for further military escalation.
He concluded with a direct warning: “Do not test our resolve to defend our land.”
