The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised Hon. Shehu Hussaini, popularly known as Wazirin Kucheri, as the legitimate chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) in Zamfara State.
This confirmation brings an end to a year-long leadership tussle that had threatened the unity and strength of the party in the state.
Speaking in Gusau on Thursday, Hussaini welcomed the development, stressing that INEC’s decision aligns with a court ruling which affirmed the executives under the national chairman of the party, Barrister Adekunle Omaje.
Political observers believe the resolution marks the beginning of a more stable era for the party, after months of internal wrangling that weakened its structure in Zamfara.
