Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo (Ojuromi VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo and Acting Chairman of the Ijebu Traditional Council, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory message on Monday, the governor described Oba Adebajo as a distinguished monarch and a worthy custodian of Ijebu’s rich cultural heritage.
Governor Abiodun commended the traditional ruler for his visionary leadership, which he said has continued to foster peace, unity, and development across Ijebu-Igbo and its environs since his ascension to the throne.
“Today offers not only a moment to celebrate your life, but also a fitting opportunity to reflect on your impactful reign and the renewed sense of unity and purpose you have brought to the people of Ijebu-Igbo and beyond,” the governor said.
He added that the Orimolusi’s reign has been characterized by inclusiveness and progress, strengthening communal identity and pride among the Ijebu people.
“As the custodian of our cultural heritage, you have carried the weight of legacy with grace, ensuring that tradition, modern governance, and community development walk hand in hand,” Abiodun stated. “Your commitment to fostering collaboration among traditional rulers and government institutions stands as a testament to your progressive outlook and your desire to see Ijebu-Igbo flourish.”
The governor prayed for continued wisdom, good health, and a long, peaceful reign for the monarch, describing him as “a statesman, bridge-builder, and father-figure whose reign reaffirms the enduring values of wisdom, patience, and service.”
