Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has described the administration of his successor, Governor Abba Yusuf, as a “government of bandits and confusion.”
Speaking to journalists after a stakeholders’ meeting in Kano, Ganduje criticized Yusuf’s government for what he called reckless spending and lack of tangible achievements.
Ganduje highlighted that Governor Yusuf’s administration received more federal allocation in just six months than his government did in eight years, yet “achieved nothing of value.”
He also accused the current administration of wasting time on probes into his tenure, saying:
“When I took over power, I never wasted time probing my predecessor. Governance doesn’t end with one administration. But Abba Yusuf started his government with probes. Tell me, what have they uncovered?”
Ganduje further argued that the state’s governance under Yusuf is weak, likening it to “comparing a messenger with a permanent secretary,” and insisted that projects under the current administration lack value for money.
“Theirs is a government of bandits, clumsy and confused. They spend recklessly on projects without value for money,” he added.
