PORT HARCOURT — Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has announced that calm and stability have returned to the state following months of political turbulence.
Speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, Fubara expressed gratitude to his supporters for standing firmly by him throughout his six-month suspension imposed by President Bola Tinubu.
The governor, who was warmly received by a massive crowd of loyalists on his return, described their solidarity as a source of strength during the political storm.
“I appreciate everyone who gave support to bring normalcy back to Rivers State,” Fubara said.
Addressing expectations from his followers, he assured them of his commitment to delivering on promises.
“I know everybody wants to hear something from me. In fact, I expected it when I landed. I want to assure you that we will, by the grace of God, continue to give those things that made you people love us,” he stated.
