The burial arrangements for late gospel musician, Omije Ojumi, have been officially cancelled.

The development was confirmed by her colleague, Lanre Alewilese, in a statement shared via Instagram on behalf of the burial planning committee.

According to Alewilese, unresolved issues and an ongoing crisis within the singer’s family forced the committee to halt all plans for her burial.

“This is to inform you that all burial plans of our late sister and colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, have been cancelled over issues arising within her family. We’re deeply sorry for the inconveniences,” the statement read.

DAILY POST recalls that the planning committee had earlier announced that the deceased gospel singer was scheduled to be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2026.

As of the time of filing this report, no new date has been announced for her burial.
