Senator Okey Ezea, who represented Enugu North Senatorial District under the Labour Party, has passed away.
Ezea, the sole Labour Party lawmaker from Enugu State in the National Assembly, reportedly died on Tuesday in the United Kingdom, where he was receiving medical treatment. DAILY POST gathered that he had previously undergone treatment in Germany before being transferred to the UK.
The news of his death was first made public by popular on-air personality ‘Senator’ Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who announced the development in a Facebook post that read:
“Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace.”
Although full details surrounding his passing remain unclear, tributes and reactions have since flooded social media as colleagues, supporters, and constituents express shock and sorrow over the loss.
