Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Wednesday arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna for the continuation of proceedings in his bail application.
El-Rufai was driven into the court premises under noticeable security presence, attracting attention from operatives and a small group of observers gathered at the venue.
The resumed hearing follows Tuesday’s session, which was adjourned after the defence team introduced new legal arguments, adding fresh complexity to the case.
According to reports by Daily Post Nigeria, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) had earlier returned the former governor to its custody. This came shortly after he was temporarily released on March 27, 2026, following the death of his mother.
El-Rufai was subsequently re-arraigned on Tuesday and has now returned to court for the continuation of his trial over allegations of financial improprieties.
Further details are expected as proceedings continue.
