Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has secured a landmark partnership with Shandong Luqiao, a flagship subsidiary of the Fortune Global 500-listed Shandong Hi-speed Group, to drive large-scale infrastructural development across the state.

The Governor, who is currently leading an investment mission to China, met with the leadership of the globally renowned construction firm, which is famous for its expertise in bridge construction and world-class infrastructure projects.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media & Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the meeting focused on key areas of modern infrastructure and highlighted Ogun State’s ongoing strides in industrial and infrastructural growth.

The discussions, the statement added, opened new opportunities for collaboration as Shandong Luqiao identified Ogun State as a highly desirable partner.

“With their special-grade qualifications in highway and municipal engineering, along with first-class contracting licenses in construction, hydropower, and power engineering, Shandong Luqiao has earned worldwide recognition for delivering world-class infrastructure,” Akinmade said.

He further announced that the company has formally committed to partnering with Ogun State to advance its infrastructural development drive.

Governor Abiodun described the deal as a major boost to his administration’s vision of positioning Ogun as Nigeria’s hub of modern infrastructure and industrial growth.

“This collaboration is yet another testament to our determination to make Ogun the hub of modern infrastructure and industrial growth,” the statement concluded.
