A teacher who was caught having sex with her 12-year-old student claims she is “pregnant” and plans to “raise this baby.”
Alissa McCommon, 38, of Covington, Tennessee, was arrested and charged with the rape of a minor late last month (September 2023) after communicating with the young boy via Snapchat.
The former Charger Academy fourth-grade teacher appeared in court on Tuesday, Oct. 3, with the hearing concentrating on a series of messages and phone chats the mother-of-two reportedly had with the victim.
In one call, the teacher stated that she was pregnant and ready to welcome her third child into the world.
“I’m going to raise this baby. I can do this,” she stated on the recording played in court.
She had previously threatened the boy that if he told officers about their relationship, he would “regret” it.
Authorities have not established whether McCommon is pregnant or if the 12-year-old boy is the father.
In a separate text message, she hinted at being pregnant. “I have to tell you something serious and huge that has to do with you,” she wrote, according to Fox 13.
“This was a mistake, this is my burden. OMG delete this number, please don’t get me in trouble,” another alleged text from McCommon read. “I will never text you again. You will never hear from me again, just please don’t say anything,” the ex-teacher could purportedly be heard saying on an audio clip.
She was sacked from Charger Academy in early 2021 after being accused of having sex with a previous pupil at her house. According to the Covington Police Department, she reportedly allegedly had sexual correspondence with several other students, including sending nude images of herself and asking them if they wanted to have sex.
McCommon was re-booked into the Tipton County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, November 27.
