The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, apprehended two suspected online fraudsters on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos State.

The suspects, known as Udemba Chukwuemeka (a.k.a. Jody) and Jamal Jamiu Onasola (a.k.a. Jamal), were detained at the apartment of a musician, John Njeng Njeng (a.k.a Skales), according to EFCC’s Head, Media & Publicity, Dele Oyewale.

During questioning, Chukwuemeka and Onasola, who were suspected of being involved in a dating fraud, named Njeng as their tutor. They revealed that while Chukwuemeka had been at Njeng’s house for two years, Onasola had only been there for a few months.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale said.
