The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tanimu Turaki, has called on Nigerians to embrace the values of love, sacrifice and humility as they celebrate Christmas.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, Turaki extended warm greetings to Christian members of the PDP and the wider Christian community across the country.

He described the virtues exemplified by Jesus Christ as “timeless principles” capable of transforming Nigeria’s national life and stimulating economic growth if genuinely upheld.

According to him, Christmas serves as a powerful reminder of Nigeria’s collective resilience and shared responsibility in building a stronger, more united nation.

“These are not merely seasonal virtues but timeless principles that can transform our country and usher in economic prosperity,” Turaki said.

He reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to promoting such values in governance and political leadership, noting that they are central to achieving the nation’s collective aspirations.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges, Turaki urged citizens not to lose hope, stressing that societies and individuals often emerge stronger after periods of adversity.

He concluded by praying for peace and prosperity in Nigerian homes, expressing optimism that the coming year would bring renewed hope and “God’s abundant blessings” to the nation.
