Champions League 2025/26 Draw: Big Clashes as European Giants Learn Opponents

The draw for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase was conducted on Thursday, confirming exciting fixtures under the ‘Swiss-style’ format.

The format, which replaced the traditional group stage, will again feature 36 clubs, each playing eight matches against different opponents—four at home and four away. The top eight teams will qualify automatically for the round of 16, while those finishing from ninth to 24th will contest two-legged playoffs for the remaining spots. Bayern Munich have been drawn to face Chelsea, PSG, Club Brugge, Arsenal, Sporting CP, PSV, Union SG and Pafos.

Chelsea will meet Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Atalanta, Ajax, Napoli, Pafos and Qarabag.

Real Madrid will play Manchester City, Liverpool, Juventus, Benfica, Marseille, Olympiacos, Monaco and Kairat Almaty.

Inter Milan are set to face Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Slavia Praha, Ajax, Kairat Almaty and Union SG.
