Tinubu Considering ‘Temporary Subsidy’ On Petrol

0

According to TheCable, many stakeholders believe that President Bola Tinubu is mulling a “temporary subsidy” on gasoline as crude oil prices and foreign exchange rates continue to rise. There has yet to be a final decision on the temporary subsidy.

However, according to presidential insiders, the proposal is “firmly on the table” as Nigerians continue to moan under hard economic realities following the withdrawal of petrol subsidies in May 2023.

Already, labor unions have warned of an indefinite walkout if the price of gasoline continues to rise. While Izobo has provided his solution, others are providing theirs, and it is now up to the national leadership to seek the route of justice and truth.
