Nigerian Equities market index falls by 0.30%

For the fourth consecutive day, trading session on the equities market of the Nigerian Exchange ended in the negative dropping by 0.30% or 116.96 points to close at 38,328.13 points.

The market capitalisation also recorded a drop of N62 billion to close at N19.977 trillion as against N20.039 trillion on Wednesday.

A total of 157,261,295 shares with market value of N1.74 billion were traded in 2,824 deals with the trading ending with 18 gainers and 19 losers.

Trans-Nationwide Express led the gainers with N0.08k price appreciation to close at N0.89k, followed by Prestige Assurance with N0.03k gain to close at N0.49k and Chams with price gain of N0.01k to close at N0.22k.

On the losing side, Sunu Assurance came out last with share price depreciation of N0.05k to close at N0.47k,followed by Royal Exchange with N0.07k loss to close at N0.68k and Regency Alliance Insurance with N0.03k to close at N0.22k.

Zenith Bank recorded the highest volume of 27.5 million traded shares followed by Access Bank with 19.62 million shares.
