The Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Police Force and the Army have dispersed the #RevolutionNow protesters from the scene of the protest.

#RevolutionNow protesters gathered on Wednesday in Abuja calling for a change in government. These protests are presently holding across Nigeria.

Although the leader of the movement, Omoyele Sowore was not among the demonstrators, the leader of the protest was Mr Pelumi Olajegbensi and he accused the Federal Government of failing to protect Nigerians, citing insecurity, the growing state of unemployment in the country amongst other issues.

Pelumi insisted that there is a need for political revolution.

He further stated that there is a need for young people who are interested in the future of the country to be allowed to raise their voices so they can be heard.

He also stated that the protest was to make the demand for a conscious political revolution and a change in leadership.
