Buhari meets governors, security chiefs again over insecurity

As part of efforts geared towards addressing the worsening state of security in some parts of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari today met with some representatives of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and security chiefs.

The meeting which held at the Council Chamber inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja had in physical attendance the Vice-President of the Federation, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha as well as the National Security Adviser Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.).

Also physically present at the meeting were service chiefs and heads of other security agencies.

Virtual attendees at the meeting were State governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, David Umahi of Ebonyi, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Yahaya Bello of Kogi and Duoye Diri of Bayelsa.

Earlier on Monday, President Buhari met with state governors from the North-East to deliberate on the same issues of insecurity in some parts of the nation.
