President Muhammadu Buhari has decorated the new Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya assisted by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Buhari did the exercise while presiding over the Federal Executive Council Meeting in State House, Abuja on Wednesday, in the presence of other officials.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity shares pictures of the event on Facebook with the caption, “President Buhari Decorates New Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya and presides over Federal Executive Council Meeting in State House on 7th July 2021”.
Present at the brief ceremony were some members of FEC, including Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; National Security Adviser (NSA), Major-General Babagana Monguno; Minister of Defense, Major-General Bashir Salihi Magashi; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Ali Ndume; and wife of the Chief of Army Staff, Hajiya Salamatu Yahaya, among others.
