BREAKING: Makinde sacks cabinet

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has sacked all members of his cabinet.

Though details of the dissolution were not given, it was gathered that he has instructed the commissioners to hand over to their directors.

However, three council members were not affected. The trio include the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Head of Service (HOS) and the Director General of Due Process office.

The governor was said to have announced the dissolution to the commissioners and special advisers at the end of the weekly State Executive Council meeting which was held at the Executive Council Chamber on Tuesday.

It was also gathered that many of the affected political appointees might not be reappointed because the governor was not satisfied with their performances.

The Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa confirmed the dissolution but did not give further details.
