The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Hon. Benjamin Omale, has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 governorship election, describing the governor’s second-term bid as “non-negotiable.”

Omale made the declaration during a meeting with party members and key stakeholders at his residence in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

According to him, the gathering was a demonstration of unity, strength, and renewed commitment within the APC family in Benue as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He explained that the meeting also served as an avenue to thank God for His protection, guidance, and faithfulness to the party throughout the year 2025.

The APC chairman further said the get-together was organised to appreciate party members, particularly youths and women, for their loyalty, sacrifices, and unwavering support for the party at all levels.

Omale urged party members to remain cohesive and focused, stressing that unity remains critical to securing victory for the APC in the next election cycle.

He specifically commended the youths of the party in Benue State, praising them for what he described as a “homefront soldier-like” commitment in defending and promoting the ideals of the APC.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation and Illegal Levies, Mr. Terver Gbanda, lauded Omale’s leadership style, openness, and dedication to the growth of the party in the state.

Gbanda described the meeting as timely and necessary, noting that it would further strengthen bonds among party members and enhance collective efforts to actualise Governor Alia’s re-election for a second term in 2027.

He added that Benue State needs consistent and trusted leadership to sustain progress and development, expressing confidence in the current administration’s direction.
