Arsenal Hit With FA Fine After Fiery London Derby Ends in 1–1 Draw

0

Arsenal are set to be sanctioned by the Football Association following their tense 1–1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The derby, which delivered plenty of drama, saw Arsenal players repeatedly fall on the wrong side of referee Anthony Taylor. Six Gunners were booked over the course of the game, with three cautions issued within the opening half hour alone.

Under FA regulations, any team that receives six or more yellow cards in a single match is automatically fined £25,000. This isn’t new territory for Arsenal, who were hit with the same penalty back in February 2024 after a heated clash with Liverpool.

The match also featured a major flashpoint for Chelsea, as midfielder Moises Caicedo was shown a straight red card in the first half, adding to the intensity of the London rivalry.
