IBADAN — The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State for the 2027 elections, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has expressed confidence that his party is fully prepared to unseat Governor Seyi Makinde’s Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the state.
Alli, who represents Oyo South in the Senate, made the declaration while addressing party supporters in Ibadan on Monday, stating that the APC has laid the necessary groundwork to sweep the 2027 polls across board.
According to him, the party is set to contest — and win — the presidential, National Assembly, governorship, and State House of Assembly elections in Oyo State.
“We are strategically positioned to win the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections in Oyo State in 2027,” Alli told the gathering.
He, however, stressed that securing victory would demand sustained effort at the grassroots level, urging party members to deepen their engagement with voters across the state.
“Victory requires hard work at the grassroots. We must go to the people, engage them and strengthen our structures across the state,” he said.
The lawmaker further called on party faithful to close ranks and prioritise the collective interest of the APC over personal ambitions as the party ramps up preparations for the 2027 general elections.
“This is not about individuals. It is about the party and our collective responsibility to build a stronger APC in Oyo State,” Alli added.
