The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver of Nigerian-British boxing star Anthony Joshua, before a Sagamu Magistrate Court in connection with a fatal road accident.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed in a statement on Friday that Kayode, 46, was charged to court on Thursday, January 2, 2026. The case has been adjourned to January 20, 2026, for further proceedings.
DAILY POST recalls that the Ogun Police Command had earlier announced that the driver was in custody following the incident.
According to police reports, the crash occurred on Monday and resulted in the deaths of two of Anthony Joshua’s close associates, identified as Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
The police assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that the matter will be handled in line with the law.
