Amorim: Losing Games Hurts More Than Losing My Job at Man United

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim insists he is not worried about being sacked despite the club’s poor start to the Premier League season.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s crucial clash with Sunderland, Amorim defended his tactical approach, stressing that the real pain comes from failing to win matches rather than fears over job security.

United slipped to 14th place after a 3-1 defeat at Brentford, their fourth loss in six games.

“The worst thing in this job is not winning games. That’s the same feeling I had back in Casa Pia when I lost in the third division,” Amorim said.

“Of course, it’s a dream to be here and I want to continue fighting for this. But what makes me suffer is losing games, not the fear of losing my job. You only fear that when you have bills to pay, and I don’t have that feeling.”
