Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has finally spoken out following the death of his close associate and mentor, actress Allwell Ademola.
DAILY POST reports that Ademola died of a heart attack on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Her sudden passing has continued to generate emotional reactions across the entertainment industry and among fans.
In the days following the tragedy, many Nigerians flooded Salami’s social media pages with messages of concern and support, worried about his emotional state.
Breaking his silence in a viral Instagram post, the actor revealed the depth of his grief and pleaded with the public not to console him if they meet him in person, admitting that he is still struggling to cope.
“Please, when you see me, don’t try to console me, because I will break down. I still can’t say farewell, Shuga Boo. All is not well at the moment,” he wrote.
Salami disclosed that even after 72 hours of continuous tears, the pain of losing Ademola remains overwhelming. However, he said he is determined to stay strong for the sake of his family, friends, fans, and especially his children.
“Seventy-two hours of endless tears still can’t bring back my Shuga Boo. But for the sake of our family, friends, and fans who showed up in prayers, calls, and posts — and most especially for my children, who will draw strength from me as we learn to move on without our Allwell Ademola — I promise to stand strong,” he stated.
The actor also expressed gratitude to those who have reached out to him, noting that he is currently too emotionally drained to respond to messages or calls.
“To everyone who has genuinely reached out to me with love and concern for my state of mind and well-being through messages, calls, and voice notes, I see all. I’m just too weak to read, listen, respond, or even find the words to express how I really feel right now,” Salami added.
Allwell Ademola’s death remains a painful loss to the Nollywood community, with tributes continuing to pour in from colleagues and fans alike.
