Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, despite ongoing political tensions within the state.

Speaking on Tuesday in Osogbo during a meeting with cabinet members, special advisers, and senior government officials, Adeleke stated that his stance remains unchanged, emphasizing that his alignment with the president predates recent political developments.

According to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor dismissed suggestions that the crisis surrounding local government administration in Osun State could affect his political position.

“We have no problem with President Tinubu. He is our leader,” Adeleke said. “He represents the South-West, and I reaffirm our endorsement of Mr President for re-election in the best interest of the region.”

Adeleke also expressed gratitude to residents for their continued support, noting that the Accord Party’s influence is growing beyond Osun State.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to governance, the governor pledged sustained delivery of democratic dividends, with a focus on youth empowerment, women development, and workers’ welfare. He added that priority would be given to key sectors including infrastructure, agro-industrialisation, education, and healthcare.

In addition, Adeleke directed party officials to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts, calling for expanded membership registration and voter engagement across all 332 wards in the state.
