The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, saying the country is not moving in the right direction.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday, ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi highlighted the growing hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians.
“The kind of hardship Nigerians are facing today is unprecedented. What’s even more troubling is the government’s denial of this reality,” Abdullahi said. “Records show Nigeria is not going in the right direction, yet they insist the economy is doing well.”
He added, “Even as people struggle to put food on the table, the administration continues to campaign and make promises, as if they haven’t been in power for the last three years.”
Abdullahi also criticized President Bola Tinubu’s frequent foreign trips amid domestic crises. “This president keeps traveling out of the country at will, especially during critical moments. Former President Goodluck Jonathan didn’t abandon the country in times of crisis. He stayed, he faced the challenges. This lack of sensitivity is mind-bending.”
