Lagos — Mr. Dele Momodu, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has warned that President Bola Tinubu may soon face challenges from within his political circle. Momodu, who described himself as a prophet, made the prediction during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
Momodu cited the recent defection of former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ADC as a sign of shifting allegiances among key political figures. “Nobody knows Tinubu better than Rauf Aregbesola. He served as governor of Osun State for eight years and was commissioner for works in Lagos State. Yet, he is now in ADC,” Momodu said.
He noted a growing trend of lawmakers and political actors exploring options beyond the ruling party. “Look at the preponderance of senators, members of the House, and others now trooping in,” he added.
Momodu also alluded to internal uncertainties within the APC, including questions surrounding the viability of a Muslim-Muslim ticket. “In the coming weeks and months, Tinubu will begin to lose sleep when he sees the true colour of human beings,” he said, suggesting that political loyalties are shifting in anticipation of personal gains.
