The Commissioner of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Suleiman Yahaya Vokna, has tendered his resignation.
In a statement personally signed and made available to the press, Vokna said his decision to step down was driven by personal reasons and the desire to pursue other interests that matter most to him.
“I, Suleiman Yahaya Vokna, hereby formally announce my resignation from the position of Commissioner with the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), effective 17th October, 2025,” he stated.

He expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the opportunity to serve, describing his tenure as “a profound honour and privilege to contribute to the strengthening of democratic governance in Adamawa State.”
The outgoing commissioner highlighted his commitment to the values of integrity, impartiality, and transparency throughout his time at ADSIEC, adding that he is proud of the Commission’s collective achievements.
