Former Senate President David Mark has dismissed concerns over internal disputes within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), assuring members and the public that the party remains stable and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Wednesday during a church service to mark his 78th birthday, Mark, who currently serves as the party’s national chairman, described the ongoing disagreements within the ADC as a natural phase in the evolution of a growing political institution.

He emphasized that the situation does not threaten the party’s survival or its electoral prospects.

“There is no cause for alarm,” Mark said, noting that challenges are inevitable in any organization undergoing development. He stressed that what matters most is the collective determination of party members to resolve differences and move forward.

The former Senate President further maintained that the ADC’s leadership and supporters remain united in their broader mission to strengthen the party and promote democratic values in Nigeria.

Amid rising concerns over the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections, Mark reiterated the ADC’s commitment to Nigeria’s democratic stability, linking the party’s internal cohesion to the overall health of the nation’s political system.

He assured that the party would continue to work towards ensuring that democratic governance translates into meaningful benefits for citizens, guided by principles of discipline, integrity, and patriotism.

Reflecting on his 78th birthday, Mark expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his dedication to national service, stating that his commitment to unity, peace, and progress in Nigeria remains unwavering.
