Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved to take control of the Maitama residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Abuja.
The anti-graft officials, reportedly led by Folarin Dare, arrived at the property in a convoy of about five buses. Dressed in the agency’s signature red and black jackets and heavily armed, the operatives barricaded the road leading to the residence.
Access to the property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in the upscale Maitama district, was restricted as security personnel sealed off the surrounding area.
The operation is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct, although official details remain limited as of press time.
Further developments are expected as the situation unfolds.
