0

The Senate on Tuesday suspended its plenary session in honour of Senator Okey Ezea (LP–Enugu North), who passed away last week.

The lawmaker’s family formally confirmed his death last Wednesday. In a statement issued by his first son, Jideofor Ezea, the family disclosed that the senator died in Lagos on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, after a brief illness.

In line with parliamentary tradition, the Senate adjourned its sitting as a mark of respect for the departed lawmaker.

Similarly, the House of Representatives had last Thursday suspended its plenary to pay tribute to Senator Ezea.
