Tinubu May Clinch Middle Belt in 2027 If He Plays Two Smart Moves — Dr. Sam Amadi

The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr. Sam Amadi, has projected that President Bola Tinubu could secure victory in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region during the 2027 general elections — if he executes two strategic political moves.

Amadi made the prediction in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, hinting that the outcome largely depends on the actions of both Tinubu and Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2023, Mr. Peter Obi.

The former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) made the comment while reacting to reports of the defection of former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami, from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to Amadi, such political realignments could inadvertently strengthen President Tinubu’s influence across the Middle Belt.

“They are making it easier for Tinubu to win the Middle Belt,” Amadi wrote. “It depends on just two games from Tinubu and Peter Obi, and I will call the zone for Tinubu.”
