APC Chieftain Assassinated in Benue: Gunmen Kill Hon. Ejeh Udeh at Home

OTUKPO, BENUE STATE — Tragedy struck in Otukpo on Monday as Hon. Ejeh Udeh, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was gunned down by unidentified assailants at his residence.

According to reports, the incident occurred around midnight when gunmen stormed Udeh’s Ugboju residence and opened fire on him in the presence of his family.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the attackers, who rode in on a motorcycle, had been lying in wait before ambushing him as soon as he entered his compound.

Udeh was confirmed dead at the scene, and his remains have been deposited at the Otukpo General Hospital morgue.

Police authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the killing, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
