LAGOS — The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has described the return of Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a significant boost for the ruling party in the state.
Obasa, who received the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate at his official residence in Ikeja GRA on Tuesday, said Jandor’s decision underscored the enduring strength of the APC as the political platform that best represents the aspirations of Lagosians.
“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” Obasa declared, assuring Jandor of smooth reintegration and collaboration in advancing effective governance across Lagos.
He praised Jandor’s return as an act of courage and conviction, adding that the APC’s broad and inclusive structure provides space for shared progress and sustainable development.
In his remarks, Jandor expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s warm reception and pledged his commitment to contributing meaningfully to the APC’s vision for both Lagos and Nigeria.
He further lauded President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as bold, people-oriented measures introduced despite stiff opposition from critics.
“It takes courage and leadership to introduce such reforms in the face of resistance. The President has once again demonstrated his resolve to put the people first,” Jandor said.
