Released Ibom Air Passenger Comfort Emmanson Says She’s in Pain

Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger whose unruly behaviour led to her arrest and remand, has regained her freedom — but says she is still in pain and in need of medical attention.

In a post on her Instagram page, @soft_commy, on Wednesday, Emmanson expressed gratitude to Nigerians who rallied behind her during her ordeal, promising to share her own account of the incident once she is in a better state of mind.

“Thank you so much for the prayers, love and support. I’ve been released from the prison, but I’m still in pain due to how I was treated,” she wrote.

“I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. Thank you so much, my lovely friends and supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all. Thank you, my great God!!!”

Emmanson’s arrest and remand sparked online debates over airline rules, passenger conduct, and the treatment of those involved in in-flight incidents. Her promised account is expected to shed more light on the controversy.
