JUST IN: Niger’s Military Junta Forms New Government

According to a decree that was read aloud on national television on Thursday, the military leaders in Niger who took control in a coup last month have established a new government.

The 21-member government will be led by Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, while the defense and interior ministries will be run by generals from the new military ruling council.
