FIFA Postpones June World Cup Qualifiers In Africa

The race to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is heating up, with 18 nations already sealing their places at the global football spectacle.

The tournament, set to make history as the first-ever 48-team World Cup, will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. As hosts, the three North American countries automatically secured qualification, while other slots are being filled through intense regional campaigns.

South America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania have all confirmed early representatives, with traditional heavyweights and surprise entrants already punching their tickets.

Countries Qualified So Far:

  • Hosts: United States, Canada, Mexico
  • Asia (AFC): Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia
  • South America (CONMEBOL): Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay
  • Africa (CAF): Morocco, Tunisia
  • Oceania (OFC): New Zealand

The qualification journey is still ongoing, with Europe, Africa, and other regions set to complete their campaigns in the coming months. As the list grows, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be the most inclusive and competitive World Cup in history.
