Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has turned down an initial contract renewal offer from the Spanish giants, raising speculation about his long-term future at the club, The Sun reports.
The 24-year-old Brazilian star, who remains a key figure at the Bernabéu, has a £830 million release clause in his current deal, which runs until 2027. Despite earning £12.5 million per year, Vinicius has emerged as a prime target for multiple Saudi Pro League clubs.
Reports suggest that meetings between Vinicius’ representatives and Saudi officials took place in December, following an initial approach last summer. In response, Real Madrid initiated renewal talks, determined to secure the forward on a long-term deal.
However, the Spanish giants are unwilling to break their wage structure to meet the player’s demands, leaving his future at the club uncertain.
