Victor Osimhen has given the green light to a permanent switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray, signaling the end of his time at Serie A club Napoli.
The revelation came through Nigerian broadcast journalist, Buchi Laba, a close associate of the Super Eagles striker. Laba disclosed the update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, labeling it “exclusive.”
According to Laba:
“Victor James Osimhen says YES to Galatasaray & wants to continue with the Turkish team.”
Osimhen’s desire to depart Naples has been no secret, with sources indicating that the forward has made his intentions “very, very clear.” Despite Napoli’s continuous efforts in recent weeks to convince him to stay, the Nigerian star remains adamant about seeking a new challenge.
Currently, both clubs are locked in negotiations over the payment terms of Osimhen’s release clause.
The 25-year-old, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s 2022/2023 Serie A title-winning campaign, is reportedly enthusiastic about the Galatasaray project and ready to begin a new chapter in the Turkish Super Lig.
More details are expected as discussions progress.
